The National Portrait Gallery are looking for published writers (novelists and children’s authors) from the South West region to be involved in a writers’ project that they are running alongside a National Portrait Gallery exhibition at Montacute House, Somerset next year. The exhibition will be portraits of unknown sitters and they will be asking each of the authors to write imaginary biographies of two of the paintings. They have already approached/ are planning to approach Julian Fellowes, Minette Walters, Michael Morpurgo, Sarah Waters and Terry Pratchett. If there are other writers in this region, however, that might be interested in applying, please forward your contact details to Cathrine Daunt at: cdaunt@npg.org.uk.
Many thanks,
Catherine Daunt
