Bath Festivals is seeking a freelance

Artistic Director for Bath Literature Festival

whose profile, imagination, experience, intellect and vision will build on the Festival's current success and take it to a high level of national recognition.

Programming the 100-plus events of the Festival offers a unique creative platform for the ideas and interests of the Artistic Director and of contemporary writers, leading thinkers, activists and commentators.

Applicants of significant standing and achievement are being sought, and may be from a wide range of fields, including writing, publishing, the cultural sector and the media.

Applicants are asked to submit a c.v. and a written outline of the approach they would take in programming the Festival in 2010.

Closing date for applications is Monday 5th January 2009.
