Dog Horn Publishing is looking to launch a new line of cutting edge literature in trade paperback format. This will differ from our current line of limited editions but will take full use of modern and traditional publishing models to get your book to the masses. We are looking for novels, novellas and chapbooks.
We prefer fiction with a bold voice and corrosive energy. We want you to break the rules, but to do so, you have to know the rules you're breaking. Genre is unimportant to us, so long as the story is good. As a general rule, though, we don't deal with your average commercial fiction.
Dog Horn Publishing is a small press, and so specialises in special limited editions in paperback and hardback formats, however we will be complementing these specialist titles with general trade paperback releases from 2009. We publish a range of genres, but prefer work that tends to the speculative and bizzare. Authors such as Jeff Noon, Kathy Acker and Mark Z. Danielewski would find a great home in us. We also like more mainstream writers such as Jeff VanderMeer, Rhys Hughes, Jeanette Winterson and Angela Carter.
Deadline: 31 Dec 2008
